该域名注册于1993年12月，有“啤酒”的含义，是在1999年由比利时最大的啤酒酿造商英特布鲁集团Interbrew以700万美元价格收购的。然而有趣的是，Beer.com曾被一个男性娱乐网站启用，目前该域名挂出了出售页面。
